REASON FOR THE DELAY: shady behavior of certain distributors.
When we signed distribution deals for Adam Chaplin 1, these agreements included clauses that prohibited us from producing movies that could compete with their Adam Chaplin territorial sales. 2 weeks ago, these distributors contacted us through their lawyers, claiming that the release of Adam Chaplin 2 would be considered "unfair competition," and they have threatened legal action or demanded financial compensation, if we not wait the termination of the deal.
Not only do these individuals fail to realize that Adam Chaplin 2 would actually boost their sales (rather than harm them), but they are clearly doing this on purpose to sabotage us—conveniently remembering to contact us just one month before the release. Although we could theoretically counter-sue, we cannot risk losing the case and suffering damages, given the fully independent nature of our studio.
To be 100% certain, we’ve decided to wait for the expiration of this unfortunate deal, which will occur in August 2025. After that date, these individuals can crawl back to the hole they came from, as they will have no further leverage to force our hand.
This situation is nothing new to us, and it’s precisely why we've chosen not to work with distributors since 2015

TURNING CHALLENGES INTO OPPORTUNITIES
To turn this situation into something positive, we are going to ADD A TON OF CONTENT to the movie during this year, instead of just waiting.
We are re-including in the movie two important villains: The Priest and The Scientist (Denny's brothers) In 2022, we modified the screenplay and moved these characters to Adam Chaplin 3 due to budget limitations, but now, with the help of Taeter Burger's sales, we are thrilled to reinsert them.
Part of the budget will also be used to improve the quality of some gory scenes, adding as many new practical effects as possible. This means a ton of extra gore and action will be added to a movie that is already our goriest yet.
CLIPS AND TRAILER
The trailer will be released closer to the new release date, as the current trailer cannot include the two new villains, who are now vital to the movie.
